Big helper

I like to help Mom around the house. Especially with things like unloading the groceries.

Martin's has the best bags. Very, very tasty.

Sorry for the lack of posts - baseball season has started so therefore we are on the run all the time. Mom should have some pictures soon of me at the ballfield with my adoring fans!

An Easter misfortune

Apparently, I have now ruined Easter for everyone.

Hey Mom! Look what I did!

What? I was supposed to greet the Easter Bunny?
I thought you said....

Oh my. This is awkward.

Sorry. Nothing to see here. *burp*

Just kidding! Happy Easter to you and yours, hope you have a wonderful day! We are going to my human Aunt Kathie's house and I will meet my Nana for the first time - I can't wait! Plus there will be Whip Its and Grey Hounds and little people and HAM. I'm not sure what HAM is but if it's food, I'm in!

Do not disturb

I had my first day at daycare today. It was so much fun! There were lots of big dogs for me to bark at and lots of dogs my size to play with. All the hoomans that work there said I was the cutest thing they've ever seen. I think they must tell everyone that, but don't tell Mom that. She's on Cloud 9!

I haven't moved from this spot since we got home. Everyone has to step over me to get anywhere in the house. I should get my second wind around 10 PM, right when Mom likes to go to bed. That's my favorite time to zoom around the house as fast as I can run. Know why? Because that's how an International Man of Mystery rolls!

We interrupt our regular programming for a fellow Cardi in need!

No pictures of me today, but a favor to ask.

One of our fellow Cardis needs help! Little Adam, who is 11 days old today is sick and needs all the arooos and prayers we can send him. He is the only puppy from his Mama Sedona, and he is a handsome guy like me!

Stop by Got Corgi? and check out our buddy, and leave him a few encouraging woofs if you'd like. He'd love that!

Get well soon, buddy! We're pulling for you!

A dirty, low-down shame

Our new friends Wilson and Jimmy asked their mom Taryn to send some of her pictures from this weekend's puppy party. Well actually, my mom asked her because her camera is a piece of crap and takes terrible pictures. (Hey mom, am I allowed to say crap? Crap! Crap! Crap!)

Mud is awesome! I had no idea what I was missing out on! Mean Mom always makes me stay out of the mud or I have to take a bath with that smelly stuff that makes me smell like an old lady.

It's not only fun to roll in, it's fun to drink too! Kind of like a cafe mocha!

There were all kinds of awesome smells.

Uh oh. The Fun Police, a.k.a Mean Mom got me. She doesn't look happy.
Happy? I mean, seriously...look at me! You are in so much trouble for posting this, dude. Big trouble. Not only had I been rained on no fewer than 627 times, I had a bad haircut and my face looks like Jabba the Hut. Seriously, knock it off!

At this point, Grandma Janet saved me from Mean Mom and gave me a nice bath. I love you, Grandma Janet! You rock!

Then, I got to go back inside and pose for pictures with my Mama Scout and my sister Sally. Aren't we cute?

Now, if you want the G-rated version of this weekend, hop on over to Grandma Janet's. I love you Grandma Janet!

If you want the R-rated version, then slink on over to Jimmy and Wilson's blog.

For the NC-17 version, try Jon Farleigh and Dewi's blog. As if that surprises anyone.

Mean Mom says: Thanks to everyone for all the fun this weekend and the photos! Big thanks to Taryn for sending me Dirty Nick pictures since my camera really is a piece of crap. Or, as Naughty Nick would say, Crap! Crap! Crap!

Wild Thing

On Saturday, Mom and I took a road trip! It was really exciting. Jon Farleigh and Dewi went along too, we got to ride in their Mom's car. It was a loooong ride, and when we got there I could hardly believe my eyes - my Mama Scout and my sister Sally were there, along with Uncle Grump Spencer!!! And there were a lot of other corgis there too - I could hardly believe my eyes at how many there were, all shapes and sizes and colors and they all had tails like me!

This is my new friend Banjo. He is only 13 weeks old but he was so much fun to play with!

That's my sister Sally (f.k.a. Susan) on the blue bed. She has Banjo pinned...she likes to do that, especially to me! At one point, she rolled me over and we went sliding down the hill into a big mud puddle! It was AWESOME! Grandma Janet was nice enough to give me two baths and lots of smooches and hugs. I was so tired from playing with Sally that I slept the whole way home, slept all night, and pretty much all day Sunday! Mom was pretty happy about that. So was Rufus. Mom says to tell you guys that her pictures aren't that good - they are pretty blurry because Sally and I never stopped moving! But she's going to go through her pictures tonight and see if there are more good ones to post.

Dinosaur hunting

Today was a really awesome day! Mom went with My Very Own Boy on some kind of trip for school and they got home early today - and My Very Own Boy brought his best friend home with him to play outside!

Hey! What are you guys doing?

Dinosaur hunting? Are they good to eat? I'm in!

I think I saw the T-Rex go this way!

Maybe he's under this log?

You guys have guns? That's it, I need a weapon too - a nice, juicy stick!

Wait up for meeeee.....

Nothing like a good roll in the grass after a long afternoon hunt.

We had so much fun! I love playing with My Very Own Boy and his friends - they are awesome! Not to mention they usually have food on their faces and shirts.

It's all about ME

Hey, y'all! It's my four-month birthday today! And while my Mom and Dad are at work, I'm at home partying like a rock star. Grandma Janet has been talking about my brothers and sisters this week since it's our birthday - and I'm up on deck! Make sure you stop by and check out my story there. Also she has posts about David and Alli (formerly known as Mary). Now if you'll excuse me, the dancers are going to be here at 3 so I need to finish getting the pole up. Bassett Hounds...love those ladies with the long ears!

It's all about the angle

When you're chewing on a yummy bone, it's all about the angle of approach. Especially when you have no legs to speak of.

What the hell? Amateur.

I love stinky stuff

One of my favorite things to do is go exploring in the woods. There is all kinds of cool, stinky stuff out here - rotten logs, ant nests, deer poop...we even have a creek in our backyard! I am just dying to get in it, but Mean Mom keeps waylaying my plans. She is No Fun At All.

Dad puts all the stuff out of the back of that big noisy thing that cuts the grass in a big pile in part of the woods. Talk about good smells! I like to bounce through the piles over and over. Then I roll in it and rub my back all in the piles. Sometimes, just when I finally get my smell just right, Mean Mom gives me a bath! Then I smell like an orange. I don't like that. She is No Fun At All.

Big helpers

Oh, sorry. Were you looking for me?

My brother Rufus and I have been really busy.

First, we helped Mom clean out her closet. After all the embarrassing pictures we've been posting of each other, she absolutely forbid me to post pictures of her closet. All I can say is that it was a treasure trove of all kinds of things that were wonderful to drag out and chew on. By the time she finished, Mom was too tired from chasing me to get her stuff back to fix dinner, so Dad got us a pizza. I don't know what pizza is, but it smelled really, really good.

After that, Dad took us outside. He was doing something to our obstacle course wall out in the yard. Rufus and I thought it would be fun to help out.

Aren't we handsome?

Oh look! There's Dad!
Let's go see if we can help, pipsqueak.

Hmm. I don't think Dad knows what he's doing.
Ooh, something shiny! Look, Rufus!

Jackpot!
Suhweet! Dad's stash of landscaping fabric.

Let's get it out. Or rather, why don't you get it out, pipsqueak. Dad might need that.

Unfortunately, Dad intervened and said he didn't really need the landscaping fabric. He was using some kind of glue or something to fix our walls.

Then he took a break. And we thought he looked like he might enjoy some company.

And he did. Mission accomplished!

A more flattering angle?

Mom promised she's post a better picture today. Anyone that knows my Mama can see - I have a ring around my tail just like she does!

I hear that a lot of my Family and Friends and their hoomans are headed off to some big Corgi party this week. We hope everyone has a Fraptabulous time! I wish I could go...maybe someday!

Currently, I am not speaking to my Mom.

Yesterday, Mom took me to the place where all the girls come love on me, strangers give me treats, and then this dude in a white coat came and stabbed me in the butt! OUCH. I forgave him though, and felt well enough to come home and run in the yard with Rufus and Dad and My Very Own Boy.

Then, however, my butt really started to hurt and I was so worn out that I fell asleep while I was near my food bowls. And then Mom had to take this highly unflattering picture. Mooooom! I mean, really?

I'm not talking to you. Unless food is involved. Then maybe we can talk.

Ah, memories!

I was looking through some pictures last night from when I was just a little guy and thought it would be fun to show everybody! That's me! I was three weeks old. And I already look like a Man of Mystery, don't I?

This is when my Grandma Janet took me and my brothers and sisters to the doctor along with my mom. There were eight of us - everyone called us The Ocho! There were so many of us that Grandma put us in a big plastic box and then on a cart with wheels to get us to the doctor. Aren't we a handsome looking group? Some of my sisters have their own blogs too - see Joanie? Her name is Gingersnap now and she is on a blog with her new family. Susan is now Sally and she lives with my Mama Scout, Uncle Grump Spencer, and Grandma Janet. And Laurie is now called Lowri and lives with her brother Kearney - they have all kinds of cool adventures with sheepies! You can see their blogs over on the blogroll called We are Family. Stop on by and say hi!

And if that wasn't enough, check out this picture:

That's me! Sleeping on our bed in the puppy pen when I was only about seven weeks old. I still like to sleep on my back with all of my legs in the air. A man has to air out his, um, equipment. If you know what I mean.

Revenge is sweet

Remember how Rufus stole my toy?

I mean seriously, look at this thing. Nas-ty! Why in the world would I want anything to do with that gross thing?

But then this morning, Mom asked me if I'd had anything to do with Rufus' toy getting messed up.

Huh? Who, me?

Oh my, how barbaric! Who would do such a terrible thing?

Now, if you'll excuse me...I have some other home improvements projects to work on. Thanks.

Bear Grylls ain't got nothing on me

Ever since I was a wee sprite, I've been working on one of the essential parts of being an International Man of Mystery...the art of survival skills.

This was one of my earlier attempts. See how clever I am, pretending to bite the branches of that tree? In reality, I'm discerning if the tree is edible in case I'm ever stuck in a forest without my Blue puppy food. Bear Grylls, eat your heart out.

In the next example, you think you see a cute puppy snuggled up next to one of his Mom's shoes, right?

Wrong! It's me, proving that I can sleep in even the most treacherous conditions, like using my Mom's stinky shoe as a pillow.

Dealing with predators is also an essential skill.
Not naming names or anything. Ahem.
