School daze

Hey! It's almost back-to-school time...My Very Own Boy is less than thrilled about it though. Me, I love all the bags of school supplies so much and I try really hard to help him get everything organized. Apparently I'm not as good at is as I should be though. Teachers don't like packs of notecards already punched. Ahem.

I've been busy, myself. Tomorrow, I'm going to be the dog of the day on The Daily Corgi! How cool is that? You'll learn all about me. Probably more than you ever wanted to know. I also have my own Facebook profile now. I know, next thing I need is an agent! My personal assistant (Mean Mom) has been sorely lacking in a lot of departments lately. Like she set up my Facebook profile for me and got my birthday wrong. How in the world do you forget the most important day in your life, I ask you? Hurumph.

Anyhow, off to supervise Mom while she makes sausage biscuits for Monkey Man's breakfast tomorrow. I feel fairly certain that if I play my cards right and jump on her at just the right minute, I might score a biscuit!

Dinosaur hunting

Today was a really awesome day! Mom went with My Very Own Boy on some kind of trip for school and they got home early today - and My Very Own Boy brought his best friend home with him to play outside!

Hey! What are you guys doing?

Dinosaur hunting? Are they good to eat? I'm in!

I think I saw the T-Rex go this way!

Maybe he's under this log?

You guys have guns? That's it, I need a weapon too - a nice, juicy stick!

Wait up for meeeee.....

Nothing like a good roll in the grass after a long afternoon hunt.

We had so much fun! I love playing with My Very Own Boy and his friends - they are awesome! Not to mention they usually have food on their faces and shirts.

My boy

The day my Mom and Dad came to pick me up, they brought a little person with them. His name is Joey, and he is officially My Very Own Boy.

I like little people, but he isn't very little at all. Mom says he's in third grade and he is already four feet, ten inches tall. His legs are a lot longer than mine are and he runs really, really fast. We like to play chase and all kinds of games outside.

Mom calls him Monkey Man. I call him My Boy. He is very sweet and likes to rub my tummy and give me big hugs. I like to bite his socks and try and pull on his pants legs. His socks smell really, really good - especially after he goes to baseball practice.

Today, My Very Own Boy isn't feeling very well. Mom said he was up all night with a fever and he has a sinus infection. When she took him to the doctor, she let him ride in the car without being in a crate. That's so unfair! Why do I have to ride in the car in a crate?

I have been taking care of him on the couch today when I'm not busy following Mom around. He gets to use lots of tissues and sometimes I can steal one out of the box when no one is looking. That is fun!
