Greetings and Salutations!

Well, hello!

My name is Nick.

I am a Cardigan Welsh Corgi. Or at least that's what they tell me. Apparently there are other kinds of corgis that don't have tails, but my hooman mom says that she prefers corgis with handles. I don't like to think of my tail as a handle, but more along the lines of a perpetual plaything.

See this beautiful lady? No, the red and white one. That's my mom, Scout. Some people know her as GCH Cardiridge Jean Louise Finch RN HT CGC. That's a lot of letters and stuff. Last year, she went to a big place called Westminster and won a big ribbon there. I mean really big and I bet it would be really tasty too. I think she should get a ribbon for being a great mom too. I miss her a lot. She lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee with my hooman Grandma Janet.

And this is my dad Chase. Isn't he handsome? Lots of hoomans know him as Am/Can CH C-Myste Baledwr Pursuit of Happiness, CD HT PT RN VC CGC TT. Wow, my parents both have a lot of letters and stuff! My dad is really silly and likes to run around chasing ducks and sheepies and things. He usually lives far away in New Mexico with my other hooman Grandma Penni, but right now he's in Tennessee too chasing sheepies.

So while my dad Chase was in Tennessee, he met my mom Scout. There was a lot of magic and I think maybe some Barry White music was involved.

Um, okay. That was awkward. Hold on a second, I need to chew on something so I can erase that out of my brain....

Anyway, I ended up having seven brothers and sisters! Look how tiny I was.

But now I'm not such a little guy. I'm growing up! I have some big paws to follow between my mom, my dad, and even my great-grandpa Sam who is like a big supermodel. So that's why my hooman mom is calling this blog, Nick the Cardi - International Man of Mystery. Talk about putting a lot of pressure on me! But it will be fine, and I hope one day I'll have a bunch of cool letters after my name too.

  5. Great Grandpa Sam says, "I'm pretty sure there's a lot more to life than being really, really, ridiculously good looking. And I plan on finding out what that is."
He's such a ham - he already knows what else in life is good. When you are ready, Grasshopper, he may teach you!

  7. Big Nick! Glad you took a break from eating wood products long enough to write in your blog! Glad to hear you are being a better boy and that you are letting your people catch up on their sleep. I was afraid they might stick you in a box and mail you back!! Not really - they love you very much and I am so glad you have them.

Mama Scout, sister Sally and Uncle Grump say "hey" too.

  8. Hey, Nick. I see you screwed up and are being locked in a crate at night too. I haven't figured out how to escape yet, but my hooman mom, Susan, feeds me in here too. Yum!

I understand what Dad sees about chasing ducks. They are fun! I can even run faster than they can. This morning I found two hiding under the deck. I squeezed in and barked until my hooman came and praised me for finding them. I don't know how come SHE couldn't find them. They smell a LOT!

Keep up the cute looks and make eyes at your hoomans every chance you get. They are such suckers for that :)

Bye for now, your sister, Lowri
