It has been raining and raining for what seems like days now. And when you don't like getting your feet wet, this can present a problem. I'm working through it though, with the help of Mom and a bag of treats. Poop outside = treats. Pooping inside = no treats + unhappy Mom.

I'm famous! Or something like that.
Check out my profile on The Daily Corgi! Miss Laurie did a wonderful job writing about a fascinating subject - ME!

An Easter misfortune
Apparently, I have now ruined Easter for everyone.

Hey Mom! Look what I did!
What? I was supposed to greet the Easter Bunny?
I thought you said....
Oh my. This is awkward.
Sorry. Nothing to see here. *burp*
Just kidding! Happy Easter to you and yours, hope you have a wonderful day! We are going to my human Aunt Kathie's house and I will meet my Nana for the first time - I can't wait! Plus there will be Whip Its and Grey Hounds and little people and HAM. I'm not sure what HAM is but if it's food, I'm in!

Do not disturb
I haven't moved from this spot since we got home. Everyone has to step over me to get anywhere in the house. I should get my second wind around 10 PM, right when Mom likes to go to bed. That's my favorite time to zoom around the house as fast as I can run. Know why? Because that's how an International Man of Mystery rolls!

It's all about ME
Hey, y'all! It's my four-month birthday today! And while my Mom and Dad are at work, I'm at home partying like a rock star. Grandma Janet has been talking about my brothers and sisters this week since it's our birthday - and I'm up on deck! Make sure you stop by and check out my story there. Also she has posts about David and Alli (formerly known as Mary). Now if you'll excuse me, the dancers are going to be here at 3 so I need to finish getting the pole up. Bassett Hounds...love those ladies with the long ears!

Big helpers
Oh, sorry. Were you looking for me?

Unfortunately, Dad intervened and said he didn't really need the landscaping fabric. He was using some kind of glue or something to fix our walls.
My brother Rufus and I have been really busy.
First, we helped Mom clean out her closet. After all the embarrassing pictures we've been posting of each other, she absolutely forbid me to post pictures of her closet. All I can say is that it was a treasure trove of all kinds of things that were wonderful to drag out and chew on. By the time she finished, Mom was too tired from chasing me to get her stuff back to fix dinner, so Dad got us a pizza. I don't know what pizza is, but it smelled really, really good.
After that, Dad took us outside. He was doing something to our obstacle course wall out in the yard. Rufus and I thought it would be fun to help out.
Aren't we handsome?
Oh look! There's Dad!
Let's go see if we can help, pipsqueak.
Hmm. I don't think Dad knows what he's doing.
Ooh, something shiny! Look, Rufus!
Jackpot!
Suhweet! Dad's stash of landscaping fabric.
Let's get it out. Or rather, why don't you get it out, pipsqueak. Dad might need that.

Forbidden love
Someone has stolen a toy that my Mom specifically bought for me.

Let's set the scene, shall we?

Then he pretends to remove the "dangerous" item for my protection. Riiiight.

Then, when no one is looking, the love affair begins.

The main suspect: Rufus, a.k.a The Woofenheimer
Let's set the scene, shall we?
First, he waits until I'm distracted, which rarely happens.
Ooh, something shiny!
Then, he moves in on the toy. Slowly but surely, he stalks his prey.
Wow, look what I found! Eh, it's just a baby toy though.
I'm just gonna move this over here, out of the way. It'll be all right, Nick. I'll save you!
Then, when no one is looking, the love affair begins.
Where have you been all my life?
Oh crap! Here comes the pipsqueak again.
Mooooooooooom! Rufus stole my toy!
And therefore, ladies and gentlemen, I rest my case.
You can't prove anything, runt. And I refuse to be ashamed of my forbidden love.

Too clean
Whew. It's been an exhausting week. Being an International Man of Mystery is a full-time job, I tell you. That and trying to keep my ears up have just worn me out.Tonight I have a Super Secret Corgi Convocation with my great-uncle Jon Farleigh and his blue brother Dewi. You can see them over at The Chronicles of Cardigan. Mom even made me take a bath last night for the occasion. Now I smell like oranges and my coat looks really handsome. Hopefully I can find some deer poop to roll in before we go to our meeting so I can smell better, no one likes a good-smelling dog!
Have a great Friday, everybody! Make sure you root for VCU and University of Richmond tonight...I have no idea why, but everyone around here is talking about it. If it involves food, I'm in!

Flirting with Disaster
My Aunt Kathie is the absolute coolest. Not only does she provide little people for me to play with, she has two dogs named Amy and Teddy. I guess they are my cousins, but they look funny. Amy is a Whip It, and Teddy is a Grey Hound. They both look like they could use a good cheeseburger, but they are really nice and liked playing with me. Well, I should say that Amy used me like a bowling ball and it was kind of embarrassing in front of Georgia and Bogey. She didn't bowl them over!

The other thing she has is this really cool pond with these big red, orange, white and black things swimming around in there. Some of them are bigger than I am! I tried to go in the pond to check it out, but I kept hearing my Mom calling my name and then Bogey and Georgia would come get me. Mom didn't seem very happy with me getting that close to the water. One of these days, I'm going to get in that pond and see what those things were! I'm sure my Aunt Kathie wouldn't mind at all.
